VOLUNTEER FOR FIRST

Volunteers make up 99% of the FIRST workforce.

FIRST volunteers are part of a global robotics community preparing young people for the future. Even if you only have a few hours to give, your contribution can make a difference. Working side by side with FIRST participants, volunteers play an important role in shaping young minds and inspiring students to achieve.

FIRST hosts thousands of events around the globe annually, made possible by volunteers who fill over 250,000 roles to accomplish the mission of FIRST. Volunteer roles range from safety attendants and field reset to judges, emcees, and referees. 

As an event volunteer you will:

• receive training for your volunteer role
• have access to year-of-service pins and other recognition items
• be part of a community with a vision for the future

Steps to become assigned as an Event Volunteer

What to expect after you apply.

You will receive an email from your local event coordinator if you are assigned to a volunteer role.

You will receive training specific to your assigned job either before or on the morning of the event. You should receive communications from your event organizer about whether training is required.
