In California, FIRST Robotics Competition is officially moving to the District model in 2026.

Change always comes with challenges and trade-offs, and we recognize that this transition will take work. We’re committed to addressing any hurdles and mitigating the downsides, because we truly believe the benefits of the District model—more play time, lower costs, and a stronger local community—will make it all worthwhile
