The Los Angeles Regional
Dubbed a varsity Sport for the Mind,™ FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology.
Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of high school students are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program a robot to go head to head against a field of competitors. It’s as close to “real world” engineering as a student can get.

The Los Angeles Regional is a high-energy, high-tech spectator sporting event where teams, professionals and young people together solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The program is life-changing, career-molding and a lot of fun.
Spectators welcome! Catch the excitement of this intense competition, tour the pits to visit with teams and robots, and cheer on their favorite teams. Admission is free.
Teams at the Los Angeles Regional will vie for regional awards and a spot at the FIRST Championship which will be help in April in Houston, Texas. The competition is part of FIRST, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology.

2024 / 2025 Season Theme
FIRST DIVE presented by Qualcomm
During the 2024-2025 FIRST season, FIRST® DIVE℠ presented by Qualcomm, teams will use their STEM and collaboration skills to explore life beneath the surface of the ocean.
Along the way, we’ll uncover the potential in each of us to strengthen our community and innovate for a better world with healthy oceans. Join us as we explore the future.

In REEFSCAPE℠ presented by Haas, a new challenge launching January 4, 2025, FIRST Robotics Competition teams will use their engineering skills to strengthen one of the ocean’s most diverse habitats – making waves to build a better world.

2025 REGULAR SIZED PARKING
- Parking is free.
- Once lot is full, cars will be directed to overflow lots. See maps.
- No overnight parking in the main lot.
- Any vehicles/trailers left overnight in the main parking lot at Da Vinci may be ticketed or towed
2025 OVERSIZED & OVERNIGHT PARKING
- Trailer/Oversized overnight parking is available on outdoor basketball courts.
- Behind locked gates.
- Security will direct to location

2025 LOAD IN
Active Load In Times: Thursday, 3/13, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, 3/14, 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM
- Teams will pull into lanes and unload completely
- Drivers MUST remain with the vehicle at all times
- After unloading, drivers will be directed to parking

- Many restaurants available close by. See map below.
- There will be no food or concession sales available on site.
- Outside food is allowed outside on campus.
- Pop-up tents are allowed.
- No grilling or cooking of any kind
No food or drinks may be consumed inside the gym; the only exception is bottled water.

- Create an account in the FIRST Dashboard – click here to apply.
- Click the Volunteer Registration tab & choose ‘Volunteer at an Event’.
- Filter events by location/ program and select Los Angeles Regional.
- Choose up to five roles and apply.
- Complete your required youth protection background screening (US & Canada).
You will receive an email from your local event coordinator if you are assigned to a volunteer role.
