In FIRST LEGO League, children are immersed in real-world science and technology challenges. Teams research and design their own solution to a current scientific question or problem while they also build and program autonomous robots using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology to perform a series of missions.
Through their participation, children develop valuable life skills and discover exciting career possibilities, while learning that they can make a positive contribution to society
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE
FIRST LEGO League is the most accessible, guided, global robotics competition, helping students and teachers to build a better future together. The program is built around theme-based Challenges to engage children ages 9 to 16* in research, problem solving, coding, and engineering. The foundation of the program is the FIRST Core Values, which emphasize teamwork, discovery, and innovation. Students emerge more confident, excited, and equipped with the skills they need in a changing workforce..

This year’s game is part of the 2019-2020 FIRST season, FIRST RISE, powered by Star Wars: Force for Change.
In CITY SHAPER, students will observe how cities and buildings grow, thrive, and change. They’ll create new, innovative solutions to help shape an optimal future, using our environment and modern-day tools and technology to make it last. They can use what they learn to help us plan a strong, sustainable, and inclusive FIRST City.
