• FRC Kickoff – January 5th

FRC 2013 KickOffGame Challenge for 2013 to be annouced!

At the FIRST Robotics Kickoff event, Dean Kamen will announce the new game challenge for the FRC 2013 season.

The 2013 season will include an estimated 2,550 teams (nearly 52,000 high-school students) participating in 75 Regional and District events. Teams will be shown the 2013 robotics game field and challenge for the first time and will receive an exciting, new Kit of Parts made up of motors, batteries, a control system, and a mix of automation components – but no instructions.

Teams will have six weeks to design and build robots to meet this year’s engineering challenge.

Teams have the opportunity to meet at 81 local Kickoffs worldwide to compare notes, get ideas, make friends, find mentoring teams, learn the game, pick up the Kit of Parts, and get geared up for the exciting competition season.
